Cutting Board Restoration
My uncle made this board for my mother 40 years ago. The seams were separating, so I remade the board using the same wood. Good as new, but slightly smaller.

State Flag Prep
After joining the Ash boards together with biscuits, I transferred the flag onto the board with transfer paper.

Wood Burned Logo
Post wood burning, but before all the marks were sanded.
-
Stained
Color was added using a mix of wood stain and shoe dye.
-
Fiberglass Covering
Fiberglass and resin was used to seal, reinforce, and protect the board.
-
Adding Texture
Several Coats of polyurethane are applied for UV protection over the resin. On the last coat, salt is applied and washed off when the poly is dry, leaving a non slip texture.

Final product installed at my pool in CA.
