Metal Projects

Most of my projects are wood or wood adjacent, but I am no stranger to metal working.

My more recent metal projects are for circus equipment.

Cyr Wheel (2019)

  • Tubing Rolled and Cut

    24’ x 1.5” OD Aluminum rolled to a 6’ diameter circle.

  • Full Circle Laid out

    Test fitting

  • Drilled Connecting Holes

    Connecting holes were drilled using a drill jig.

  • Tubing Sleeved

    Using compressed air, each section was sleeved with a clear PVC tube for protection and traction.

  • Completed

    I placed a vinyl logo beneath the PVC sleeve.

Aerial Rig (2019)

  • Fully Assembled Aerial Rig

    Assembled up to 24ft Tall. Two different Headers allow for single or double rig points, or gymnastics rings.

  • Aerial Rig

    Shown at the start of assembly.

  • Partially Assembled at the Park

    Shown at about 16’ tall.

  • Aerial Rig Cart

    Made for storage and moving around the garage.

Mobile Table Saw Base (2019)

  • Table Saw Base

    Allows for a normally immobile cabinet table saw to move around the shop. Additional length is for table extensions.

  • Table Saw on Base

    Shown on the base.

  • Work Benches

    Work benches are tall enough to allow the table saw to roll under when not in use. Table extension was built after picture was taken.
